Linkin Park's 'Friendly Fire' Reaches No. 1 On Billboard's Mainstream Rock Airplay Chart

Linkin Park's "Friendly Fire" has reached No. 1 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Airplay chart.

"Friendly Fire" rose from 3rd position to No. 1 on the April 20-dated survey. The song is the band's second No. 1 in a row following "Lost," which reigned for eight weeks starting in March 2023.

"Friendly Fire" is Linkin Park's 10th No. 1, making the band the 12th act to score double-digit No. 1s in the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart's 43-year history. Shinedown leads with 19 chart-toppers.

"Friendly Fire" previously topped the all-rock-format, audience-based Rock & Alternative Airplay chart; it debuted at No. 1 on the March 9 tally and has led for two weeks so far. It currently ranks at No. 2 with 6.9 million audience impressions from April 5-11, up 6%, according to Luminate.

The song was recorded during the sessions for, but not included on, Linkin Park's last album, One More Light, released in 2017. The song is now part of Papercuts (Singles Collection 2000-2023), the band's new greatest hits compilation, released on April 12.

Willow Shares 'B I G F E E L I N G S' From Upcoming Album 'Empathogen'

Willow recently shared a new single, "b i g f e e l i n g s," from her upcoming album empathogen.

empathogen is set to arrive on May 3 and marks Willow's first studio album in nearly two years, following 2022's Coping Mechanism.

"The piano part of this song is so dense and dissonant but also darkly beautiful," Willow shared in a statement. "I wrote 'b i g f e e l i n g s' during a week where I was coming to terms with my own emotional patterns that I hadn't known were there."

She added, "Musically, it has a darkness and complexity that reflects what we all experience in our own minds. The song is about accepting those intense feelings that you have no idea what to do with."

The new single follows the release of "symptom of life" in March.

empathogen Tracklist:

"Home (feat. Jon Batiste)" "Ancient Girl" "Symptom of Life" "The Fear Is Not Real" "False Self" "Pain For Fun (feat. St. Vincent)" "No Words 1 & 2" "Down" "Run!" "Between I and She" "I Know That Face" "B I G F E E L I N G S"

Oasis Share Previously Unreleased Live Version Of 'Supersonic'

Oasis recently shared a previously unreleased live recording of "Supersonic" to mark the 30th anniversary of the release of their iconic debut single.

The recording took place at the Limelight in Belfast on September 4, 1994. Shortly before taking to the stage that night, the band learned that their debut album, Definitely Maybe, had soared to No. 1 on the U.K. Albums Chart.

The version is now available as a limited edition on physical single formats, including a replica of the 1994 CD single, which also includes the white label demo of "Columbia," and an individually numbered pearl colored 7" vinyl.

Oasis recorded the studio version of "Supersonic" in one day at the Pink Museum Studio in Liverpool in late 1993 and released the song as the band's debut single on April 11, 1994. It reached Number 31 on the U.K. Singles Chart.
