But I gotta say I laughed out loud at the quote from the editorial below because it was well written and seemed like parody. However, if it wasn't intended as parody (you can never tell with these guys) then there are a couple of things to consider. First, the fans going all know about the dead members of Foghat and any other classic band and we go anyway. So it's a failed insult. You can also bet the anonymous writer had to look that info up on the web. And how bright is your journalistic future when you actually believe making fun of how the average Joe chooses to spend their dollars for entertainment is solid editorial content? We should keep that in mind next time they advertise a show featuring dreadlock rastafarians who play that one song. You know, the one that goes, ♫ dunk-daka-dunk-daka-dunk-danka-dunk♪ in 4/4 time. Seriously, those guys gotta write another song.
"The other bright spot is that by getting the rally shut down early the Mongols prevented a performance by Foghat, a truly horrible “classic rock” cover band that’s been hanging on like grim death since its glory days of the mid-1970s. (Its original lead singer, Lonesome Dave Peverett, joined the celestial choir 12 years ago, and only one original member of the band remains.)"
